Neo Bankside 001

Neo Bankside

Apartment refurbishment, London, Southwark

The client asked Azman Architects to re-plan the living area in the Neo Bankside development designed by RSHP to maximise the available space while making more of a separation between kitchen and living room.

The entrance to the living room was shifted off-centre and solid doors replaced with a full height single glass door to bring daylight into the entrance hall.

The existing kitchen was stripped out and the practice designed a new unit in larquaured mdf and walnut veneer separating it from the dining area. One side acts as storage while other side houses the kitchen appliances.

A second unit, in walnut and bronze, creates a study. Lacquered shutters are fixed to the back of the unit so that the study can be screened off from the living area when desired.
