“Probably the best architects we have ever worked with” Tony Carter, Famella Building Contractors

The work done on this late 18th Century Grade II listed house on Highbury Fields is characteristic of Azman Architects’ work on period buildings. The practice’s principles to strip the building back to its original form were implemented; years of accretions removed to reveal broad floorboards, moulding, cornices and door details.

New work is unobtrusive, sitting within the original form rather than covering it. The kitchen was designed as freestanding units, allowing the historic fabric to remain intact in the background.
